Write about your favourite means of transport. How do you like travelling? Which means of transport do you prefer when you travel in Minsk / around Belarus / abroad?
At Minsk I prefer to ride by bicycle. It more comfortable, economical and not pollute air. But sometimes it’s rainy, so, in that time I ride in underground. There very warm, clean and we don’t have a traffic gams there. Minsk isn't very populating city, so, the underground can’t get very busy. But if I want to go abroad, I prefer trains. They’re not expensive, but they’re comfortable and there you can also lie, unlike plains and buses, for example, for me it’s very important. :)
I prefer to use the subway to move around Minsk, it is really faster because it doesn't stop at traffic lights, only on stations. In summer it's cool and fresh in the underground, it's warm there in winter and it always smells good . Almost all the stations are beautifully decorated . But everything has its disadvantages: in the rush hour we can't get into a train( but it is so in all forms of public transport, you know ), and while you are going, you have nothing to do ( because there are no windows facing the street and the city ) and there are no subway in some parts of the city, so you can't get perfectly everywhere by it, therefore it is necessary to use other modes of transport . If we talk about the cost of travelling, the metro ticket costs the same as bus fare .If we speak about travelling around Belarus, the best decision is to use a fixed-run taxi, it's faster than the bus or train, but it is also dangerous to some extent, because the accidents happen very often, especially in winter
